NHIS boss, Usman Yusuf speaks on reinstatement

Professor Usman Yusuf, the reinstated executive secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), has resumed work.

President Buhari had during the week, ordered the reinstatement of the suspended NHIS boss, Usman Yusuf 

It was gathered that the NHIS boss on resumption held a meeting with some key officials of the agency.

“I have resumed. You know, the reinstatement is with immediate effect. I will be in the office henceforth,” Yusuf told Daily Trust

Yusuf also met with President Muhammadu Buhari, the minister of health, Prof Isaac Adewole, and the immediate past acting executive secretary of the NHIS, Malam Attahiru Ibrahim, at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday.

Yusuf was suspended by the health minister after a committee accused him (Yusuf) of corrupt expenditure on healthcare training.
