Levante vs Real Madrid: Zidane’s men drop more points as LaLiga defence fades

[ad_1]

Real Madrid’s chances of defending their LaLiga title became slimmer, after they were held to a 2-2 draw at Levante on Saturday night.

Zinedine Zidane’s men were already 19 points behind leaders Barcelona before kick-off and needed a win to keep pace with their rivals.

Sergio opened scoring for Real on his return from injury in the 11th minute, guiding Toni Kroos’ corner past Oier Olazabal.

However, Levante were level before the break, as Zidane’s men were caught out.

Jose Luis Morales broke through and saw his effort saved by Keylor Navas, but Emmanuel Boateng followed up and made it 1-1.

Isco’s goal with nine minutes left seemed to have won it for the visitors, but Giampaolo Pazzini struck a stunning late equalizer, earning a point for Levante as they attempt to beat the drop.
