Reno Omokri, the former aide to ex president Goodluck Jonathan has criticized pastors under the auspices of the Arewa Pastors Non-denominational Initiative for Peace in Nigeria, who paid President Muhammadu Buhari a visit on Thursday.

The pastors during their visit to the president accused their colleagues of inciting violence and working against President Buhari.

Leader of the group, Bishop John Richard, endorsed Buhari for a second term owing to his achievements in security.

Reacting, Omokri berated the pastors for supporting Buhari yet failed to question the President on the whereabouts of a detained Christian Dapchi girl,Leah Sharibu and the killings of Northern Christians.

The former presidential aide on his Twitter page wrote, “You call yourselves Northern Pastors, you visited Buhari, endorsed him, praised him and failed to even say one thing about #LeahSharibu or the plight of Northern Christians?

” Did Jesus not say ‘by their fruits you shall know them’? May God never allow such pastors lead His children!

Meanwhile, the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, had dissociated itself from Arewa Pastors Peace Initiative, Nigeria, APPIN.

They expressed disappointed that a group of people who claimed to be Pastors visited the President without asking for the freedom of Leah Sharibu and over 100 Chibok girls held captive by Boko Haram.
