LaLiga table: Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid, now five points behind Barcelona

Real Madrid claimed a 3-1 win over city rivals Atletico Madrid in LaLiga on Saturday.

Santiago Solari’s men took the lead through Casemiro, before Antoine Griezmann pulled the hosts level, thanks to Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

However, Real went ahead again before the break, after Vinicius Junior was fouled in the area.

Sergio Ramos stepped up and converted from 12 yards, before Gareth Bale’s precise finish sealed the points in the second half.

The victory takes Real within five points of leaders Barcelona, who travel to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
