The management of Air Peace has apologised to passengers for flight disruptions following President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Lagos.

Buhari on Thursday arrived Murtala Mohammed Airport for a two-day working visit to Lagos State.

Passengers have been left stranded, while some were seen walking to Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos as routes to airport are blocked.

However, Air Peace has issued a statement complaining about the challenges faced at the airport while appealing to passengers to remain calm.

The statement read “We empathise with our esteemed guests who are having a challenge accessing the airport to catch their flights due to the diversion of traffic at various points in Lags.

“This is currently affecting flights out of our base in Lagos despite the availability and readiness of our crew to operate their flights

“We urge our valued guests to remain calm while we monitor the development and take steps to minimise the impact of the resulting flight disruptions.”
