Junior Ajayi called up for Super Eagles’ friendlies against Poland, Serbia

Al Ahly forward, Junior Ajayi, has been handed a debut invitation to the Super Eagles squad, for the upcoming friendlies against Poland and Serbia later this month.

Nigeria play Poland on March 23 in Warsaw and Serbia four days later at the Hive Stadium in England.

Ajayi has been in fine form for his Egyptian club this season, scoring eight goals and assisting nine in 23 games, as they close in a 40th league title.

“Junior’s invitation to the Super Eagles will be a great addition, he has been doing well with his team and let’s see if he can translate that to the senior national team,” a top Nigeria Football Federation source told Complete Sports.

Ajayi was part of Nigeria’s Olympic team that won bronze at the Rio 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
