<\/p>\nThe leaders of the Fulani community, Alhaji Garba Dembo (Jowuro Oyun) and Mallam Usman Garba (the Fulani\/ Bororo union\u2019s secretary) gave the assurance on Saturday when they paid a solidarity visit to the Senate President at his Iloffa, GRA residence in Ilorin.<\/p>\n
Jowuro Oyun promised that his people would deliver their votes 100 per cent to all Peoples Democratic Partys (PDP) candidates in next year\u2019s general elections.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re in full support of Dr Bukola Saraki. We gathered at the palace of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari from where we marched down to Saraki\u2019s residence to assure him of our 100 per cent support.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe late Dr. Olusola Saraki during his lifetime contributed immensely to the growth and development of Kwara state. As a result of this, we the Fulani and Bororo are prepared to reciprocate the kind gesture of the late Saraki by giving his son, Dr Bukola Saraki 100 per cent support.<\/p>\n
\u201cBaba Saraki loved and cared for us, so, it\u2019s natural that we should also love and support his son who is also following the footsteps of his father.<\/p>\n
Also speaking, the Secretary of Bororo\/ Fulani community, Mallam Usman Garba said: \u201cWe have been waiting for this day. We are going to support you 100 per cent. When your father was alive, he did a lot for us.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are ready to reciprocate Baba\u2019s kind gesture to us by supporting you, his son. There is nothing anyone can do for us to vote for the people we don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n
Responding, Saraki who was adorned with Fulani\u2019s hat thanked leaders and members of the Fulani community for identifying with his leadership.<\/p>\n
While assuring them of his continued support, Saraki reminded them that the relationship which exists between them and the Saraki political dynasty had been a long-standing one.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Fulani community\u2019s relationship with Saraki political dynasty has been a long-standing one and it shall continue to flourish,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The Senate President assured his visitors and Nigerians in general that the PDP government come 2019 will fulfil all its campaign promises.<\/p>\n
