{"id":72556,"date":"2018-12-24T10:59:15","date_gmt":"2018-12-24T09:59:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=72556"},"modified":"2018-12-24T10:59:36","modified_gmt":"2018-12-24T09:59:36","slug":"deji-adeyanju-if-you-cant-tolerate-criticism-resign-ex-apc-chieftain-frank-dares-buhari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=72556","title":{"rendered":"Deji Adeyanju: If you can&#8217;t tolerate criticism resign &#8211; Ex-APC chieftain, Frank dares Buhari"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/2019-presidency-How-Nigerians-plan-to-reward-Atiku-Timi-Frank.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Timi Frank, has said President Muhammadu Buhari should resign if he is not comfortable with democratic form of government and criticisms.<\/p>\n<p>This was as he accused the current Buhari-led government of being intolerant to any form of criticism, adding that such act signalled the return to dictatorship.<\/p>\n<p>The former APC spokesperson made the remark in reaction to a court ruling which remanded popular Human Right activist, Prince Deji Adeyanju.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement he personally signed and forwarded to DAILY POST, on Sunday, Frank said, \u201cIf President Muhammadu Buhari is not comfortable with democratic form of government, he should quit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Frank said it was unheard of for the government to order the re-arrest of Adeyanju, nine years after he was discharged and acquitted by the Kano state High Court following a lengthy trial that lasted between 2005 and 2009.<\/p>\n<p>The former APC spokesman reminded his former party and President Buhari that nothing lasts forever.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Buhari will not be there forever and definitely shall reap whatever he sows today. The Sani Abacha\u2019s case should be a lesson for the military men now pretending as democrats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNigeria democracy is under a siege. This tyranical act of APC government will soon end. Bet me, APC and President Buhari will not survive next year\u2019s election even if they try to rig it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen has it become an offence to criticise a government, especially a failure like APC government? Before the 2015, Nigerians freely criticised President Goodluck Jonathan\u2019s government and it is on record till today that nobody was sent to prison.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Goodluck Jonathan acted the way of APC, it would have been impossible for opposition to govern Nigeria.
