{"id":71864,"date":"2018-12-21T20:16:08","date_gmt":"2018-12-21T19:16:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=71864"},"modified":"2018-12-21T20:16:12","modified_gmt":"2018-12-21T19:16:12","slug":"olamide-reacts-as-nigerians-attack-him-for-promoting-blood-moneyyahoo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=71864","title":{"rendered":"Olamide reacts as Nigerians attack him for promoting &#8216;blood money,Yahoo&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Olamide-reacts-as-Nigerians-attack-him-for-promoting-blood-moneyYahoo.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Popular Nigerian singers, Olamide and Lil Kesh on Friday addressed report that their new song was promoting ritual killings and \u2018Yahoo\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST had reported that the musicians had come under attack because their new song titled \u2018Logo Benz\u2019 had lyrics like \u201cIf money no enter I go do blood money\u201d and Nigerians aren\u2019t finding it funny at all.<\/p>\n<p>The song which since its release on Thursday stirred divergent reactions from Nigerians, especially on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Some Nigerians condemned the singers for such lyrics said to be encouraging youths to engage in ritual killings and fraudulent acts for money.<\/p>\n<p>But reacting, Olamide on his Twitter account denied promoting \u2018blood money and yahoo.<\/p>\n<p>The singer said the song was meant to create awareness about the current state of youths in our society.<\/p>\n<p>He tweeted, \u201dLogo Benz is for the 3rd party to have a glimpse into the current state of youths in our society. (Runs girls x runs boys)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not sure if there\u2019s anything like 2 much awareness, but pardon me if there is.
