Okowa said about murder of ex-Chief of Defence Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Okowa-calls-for-issue-based-campaign-as-Delta-State-PDP-inaugurates-campaign-council.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa on Wednesday condemned the killing of the immediate past Air Chief Marshal, Alex Badeh, retired Chief of Defence Staff.<\/p>\n<p>Badeh, a four-star General of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), was shot dead on Tuesday along Abuja-Keffi expressway.<\/p>\n<p>Okowa, while commiserating with the family of the deceased, described the assassination as an \u2018unfortunate and terrible incident\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>He, therefore, urged security agencies to bring Badeh\u2019s killers to book.<\/p>\n<p>He tweeted, \u201cThe killing of former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh by unknown gunmen is quite unfortunate and a terrible news just like the case of General Idris Alkali who was abducted and later killed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI appeal to security agencies to work together and unmask those involved in the heinous crime that led to the death of the retired Defence Chief.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur country is being bedeviled by one manner of killings and abductions or the other.
