A video went viral on social media Saturday showing Pastor Gray handing his wife the keys to the bow-wrapped \u201cLamborghini Urus.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gray later rebuked critics who raised suggestions about whether he bought the car with church money.<\/p>\n
\u201cGod helped me to make my wife\u2019s dream come true,\u201d Gray said in an Instagram post.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy not? She\u2019s made mine come true!\u201d<\/p>\n
Also taken to Facebook, he added, \u201cnot a nickel, not a penny of money from the church went to the gift.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst of all, it wasn\u2019t a pastor that bought the car. It was a husband that bought the car,\u201d Gray said in the Facebook live video.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m a husband first. Don\u2019t confuse what I do with who I am. What I do is I pastor God\u2019s people.<\/p>\n
\u201cWho I am is a husband and a father and I\u2019ll do anything to honour them. And I won\u2019t ask permission from anybody to do it.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy wife has pushed for my dreams and my vision, and she has toiled with a man who is still trying to find himself,\u201d Gray continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat carries a weight. I wanted to honor her for how she\u2019s covered me.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat should concern people who are actually genuinely concerned is \u2018did this man use any money from the church to do this?\u2019 And the answer is no, absolutely not.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pastor Gray\u2019s wife also jumped to her husband\u2019s defense on Instagram, saying, \u201cI don\u2019t see anyone screaming about how basketball players drive what they do while you paying $$$ to see them play in arenas and on fields.<\/p>\n
