The Anambra State sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr Sunday Ajayi is dead.<\/p>\n

Ajayi was said to have died in an auto crash Saturday morning around Agbor, Delta State.<\/p>\n

It was gathered the sector commander was on his way from Kwara state, where he attended a relation\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n

His driver, a senior marshal, Raji survived and is currently receiving medical attention in an undisclosed hospital.<\/p>\n

The FRSC flag at the command headquarters in Awka was seen lowered possibly as a symbol of respect for his death.<\/p>\n

The command\u2019s Public Relations Officer, Ufiem Egim confirmed the report to reporters, but added that \u201cthe command is yet to come up with a formal report detailing the cause of his death.\u201d<\/p>\n

The late Ajayi was recently quoted as saying that speed was responsible for more than 50 per cent crashes on Nigeria roads.<\/p>\n
