{"id":70195,"date":"2018-12-15T21:18:23","date_gmt":"2018-12-15T20:18:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=70195"},"modified":"2018-12-15T21:20:56","modified_gmt":"2018-12-15T20:20:56","slug":"frsc-boss-dies-in-road-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=70195","title":{"rendered":"FRSC boss dies in road accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/FRSC-boss-dies-in-road-accident.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Anambra State sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr Sunday Ajayi is dead.<\/p>\n<p>Ajayi was said to have died in an auto crash Saturday morning around Agbor, Delta State.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered the sector commander was on his way from Kwara state, where he attended a relation\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n<p>His driver, a senior marshal, Raji survived and is currently receiving medical attention in an undisclosed hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The FRSC flag at the command headquarters in Awka was seen lowered possibly as a symbol of respect for his death.<\/p>\n<p>The command\u2019s Public Relations Officer, Ufiem Egim confirmed the report to reporters, but added that \u201cthe command is yet to come up with a formal report detailing the cause of his death.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The late Ajayi was recently quoted as saying that speed was responsible for more than 50 per cent crashes on Nigeria roads.<\/p>\n<p>His words, \u201cThis is more noticeable during \u2018Ember Months\u2019 when there are higher commuter movements across the nation (before, during and after the end of year festivities).\u201d\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Anambra State sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr Sunday Ajayi is dead.
