{"id":69120,"date":"2018-12-12T16:37:52","date_gmt":"2018-12-12T15:37:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=69120"},"modified":"2018-12-12T16:38:41","modified_gmt":"2018-12-12T15:38:41","slug":"man-allegedly-hacks-lover-to-death-in-enugu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=69120","title":{"rendered":"Man allegedly hacks lover to death in Enugu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/1528447317_985_crime.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Enugu State Police Command has arrested one Chibuzor Okonkwo, who allegedly hacked his lover, Nkemakonam Onovo, to death.<\/p>\n<p>The Command\u2019s spokesman, SP Ebere Amaraizu, in a statement to NAN in Enugu on Tuesday, said the incident happened on Dec. 9, in Obe community in Nkanu West Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Amaraizu pointed out that the suspect, Okonkwo, must have hit his lover over a misunderstanding that allegedly ensued in a yet-to-be-established issue.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the suspect allegedly hit his deceased lover with a wooden frame, following a slight provocation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was further gathered that he hit the deceased on the head, leaving her unconscious.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was later confirmed dead by a doctor on duty when she was rushed to a hospital in the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe body of the deceased is now deposited at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) mortuary in Ituku near Enugu for an autopsy,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>Amaraizu said the suspect is helping the police with its investigations.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Enugu State Police Command has arrested one Chibuzor Okonkwo, who allegedly hacked his lover, Nkemakonam Onovo, to death.
