A former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Buba Galadima, has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari for withholding assent to the Electoral Act Amendment Bill.<\/p>\n

The politician criticised Buhari when he appeared on Channels Television on Sunday.<\/p>\n

President Buhari had on Friday refused assent to the bill for the third time as the election approaches.<\/p>\n

Galadima said, \u201cThis government is a government that is desperate; that wants to be in power by all means.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is nothing under the sun that they cannot do,\u201d he said during his appearance on Sunday Politics.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe President doesn\u2019t have that prerogative. It is not personal, it is a constitutional issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a Nigerian issue and any patriotic Nigerian would assent to something that will bring benefit to Nigerians, will bring about credible election, free and fair election, level-playing field.\u201d\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
