{"id":68145,"date":"2018-12-08T23:48:00","date_gmt":"2018-12-08T22:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=68145"},"modified":"2018-12-08T23:48:06","modified_gmt":"2018-12-08T22:48:06","slug":"kaduna-state-university-expels-20-students-graduates-4380-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=68145","title":{"rendered":"Kaduna State University expels 20 students, graduates 4,380 students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Kaduna-State-University-expels-20-students-graduates-4380-students.png\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Vice Chancellor, Kaduna State University, Professor Muhammad Tanko, says the institution has expelled 20 students for examination malpractices.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during the combined convocation ceremony of 4,380 graduands on Saturday, at the KASU Convocation Ground, Prof. Tanko explained the university would not spare any student who indulges in examination malpractices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe mission of Kaduna State University is to provide an all-round university education of the highest standard for the development of the individual and state, while inculcating the spirit of love, tolerance, understanding and unity in the state in particular and the country in general,\u201d Prof. Tanko said<\/p>\n<p>According to him, \u201cAcademic development in Kaduna State University is being implemented in accordance with the university academic brief and strategic plan. The university has two colleges, two schools, nine facilities, 51 Academic Departments, 36 undergraduates programmes and 55 Postgraduate programmes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince inception of the university to date, none of our programmes has ever failed accreditation of National Universities Commission (NUC). NUC has full accreditation. Within the period, 16 undergraduates programmes and four postgraduate programmes were accredited by NUC and the programme obtained full accreditation except one that earned interim accreditation status.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Tanko, who was visibly happy with the rapid academic development of the institution further pleaded with the university authority to provide more land to establish more faculties and colleges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs you are aware, this campus is congested. Literally, there is little or no space for expansion.
