{"id":66826,"date":"2018-12-04T08:21:03","date_gmt":"2018-12-04T07:21:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=66826"},"modified":"2018-12-04T08:22:45","modified_gmt":"2018-12-04T07:22:45","slug":"oyo-shuts-ibadan-school-after-violence-clash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=66826","title":{"rendered":"Oyo shuts Ibadan school after violence clash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/SCHOOL-1.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Oyo State Government on Monday announced that it has shut down the Community Grammar School, Olodo, Ibadan with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to close the school was announced through a statement made available to Arewa.ng on Monday by the Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Ibironke Fatoki.<\/p>\n<p>Fatoki said that the school was shut over the incident of arson that occurred in the premises on Friday during a mob action by some hoodlums and miscreants after a violent protest by junior secondary school students the day before.<\/p>\n<p>She stated that the government had set up a six-man administrative investigative panel to examine the immediate and remote causes of the incident, adding that the panel is expected to submit its report in seven working days.<\/p>\n<p>Fatoki added that that a block of 3 classrooms and four cars were burnt during the protest, adding that one life was also lost during the mayhem.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Oyo State Government on Monday announced that it has shut down the Community Grammar School, Olodo, Ibadan with immediate effect.
