The Uruguayan has been an outstanding performer since his \u00a326million move during the summer transfer window, and Wright believes the club have finally found the answer to their midfield problems.<\/p>\n
Metro UK quoted Wright as saying, \u201cHe\u2019s the guy we\u2019ve been looking for for the past 4 or 5 years.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverybody has been asking, when are we going to sign a defensive midfielder? and now we have got that guy in Torreira.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was magnificent today, absolutely brilliant. When you look at the way he plays, when you look at his touches, he\u2019s everywhere. He\u2019s everywhere on the pitch.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s the way he naturally gets into positions where he can get into people. And when he\u2019s got time, he\u2019s got quality on the ball.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Arsenal legend also believes Torreira is a more \u2018natural\u2019 defensive midfielder than Granit Xhaka.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s natural at it. He can read danger and he can sense danger,\u201d Wright added.<\/p>\n
\u201cUnfortunately sometimes you see Granit and he doesn\u2019t really recognise danger.<\/p>\n
