<\/p>\n\u201cEkun\u201d who was paraded alongside two other suspects was said to have plotted the kidnap of an undergraduate of Adeyemi College of Education, ACE in Ondo West local government area of the state, Ayomide Ogunsuyi.<\/p>\n
According to the Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Gbenga Adeyanju, who confirmed this to journalists on Friday at the state headquarters of the Nigeria police, Ogunsuyi was abducted by a three-man kidnap syndicate at the Isikan road after boarding a car while on her way to school.<\/p>\n
Mr. Adeyanju said the abduction of Miss Ogunsuyi was quickly reported to police by a good samaritan who noticed the suspicious action of the suspected kidnappers.<\/p>\n
According to him, the Police Patrol Team from Akure Command swung into action and trailed the car down to the High School area in Akure.<\/p>\n
He also revealed that two of the suspects, Olumide Faleye and Bola Ojo, were later nabbed by the police patrol team after a hot chase.<\/p>\n
\u201cSurveillance patrol team of Akure Area Command were Patrolling Ondo road when a good Samaritan alerted the officers that there was a lady going to Ondo town, who boarded a car and instead of the driver going to Ondo, made a U-turn and headed to Akure metropolis.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey described the vehicle and the police started following the vehicle which was later trailed to the High School area where the officers had opportunity to overtake and blocked them.<\/p>\n
\u2018The driver whose name was later given as \u201cCherubim\u201d jumped out of the car and ran away while the remaining three occupants of the vehicle were immediately arrested.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe young girl Ayomide Ogunsuyi age 23 who looked sedated at that time later told police that she was on her way to Ondo town after boarding the vehicle (kidnappers car) at the Isinkan area.<\/p>\n
\u201cPolice immediately arrested the two suspects who were later identified as Olumide Faleye and Bola Ojo to the station for an offence of kidnapping.<\/p>\n
\u201cUpon interrogation, the suspects confessed to be working for one Kayode Ajayi a.k.a \u2018Ekun\u2019 and they later said they were fraudsters and not killers.<\/p>\n
