A 35-year-old Shuaibu Ibrahim suspected to be a human parts dealer has been arrested by the police in Niger State for allegedly being in possession of a human eyeball.<\/p>\n

Ibrahim of Safiu village in Toto Local Government of Nasarawa State was apprehended by police detectives attached to Gawu Babangida Division in Gurara LGA of Niger State while on a routine patrol of the area yesterday.<\/p>\n

The police said the eyeball was removed from a victim of communal clash between Igbira and Bassa people in Nasarawa State.<\/p>\n

The police said the suspect had been trafficking in human parts for about five years before he ran out of luck yesterday.<\/p>\n

He was said to have been given the part by an accomplice identified as Ojo (now at large) to sell in Niger State at the cost of N250,000.<\/p>\n

The suspect confirmed to journalists that he was an intermediary between Ojo and the buyers.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy job is to deliver human parts given to me by Ojo to his clients across the northern states. We make quick money in this business but I cannot tell what the buyers use them for,\u201d he said.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
