The South-South zonal auditor of the People\u2019s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Patrick Egbede has quit the party.<\/p>\n

Egbede, who is from Cross River State, announced his resignation from the party in a letter to the National Vice Chairman of the party.<\/p>\n

In the three-paragraph letter, he said: \u201cI wish to inform you of my decision to formally resign from the People\u2019s Democratic Party.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had joined the party and remained with the party since inception in 1998.\u201d<\/p>\n

Egbede attributed his action to some personal reasons.<\/p>\n

However, he had in an earlier interview said he would work for the immediate past State Security Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade, Mr Jude Ngaji, who is in the National Assembly race.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ngaji, who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for Ogoja-Yala Federal Constituency, has announced Egbede as the Deputy Director General of his campaign organisation.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
