{"id":59962,"date":"2018-11-09T20:23:53","date_gmt":"2018-11-09T19:23:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=59962"},"modified":"2018-11-09T20:24:36","modified_gmt":"2018-11-09T19:24:36","slug":"ondo-election-governor-akeredolu-apc-lose-in-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=59962","title":{"rendered":"Ondo election: Governor Akeredolu, APC lose in court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Ondo-election-Governor-Akeredolu-APC-lose-in-court.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has refused prayer by Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the All Progressives Congress, APC to dismiss a suit seeking the governor\u2019s removal from office.<\/p>\n<p>The suit was filed by Olusegun Abraham, who was the first runner-up in the party\u2019s governorship primary in the state in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, while delivering his verdict on Friday, dismissed the separate objection filed by Akeredolu and his party.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Dimgba, rather than dismissing the suit as prayed by the Governor and the ruling party, ordered that the matter be properly commenced via a writ of summons.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Dimgba ordered parties to file their pleadings and all necessary processes in the suit on or before November 30.<\/p>\n<p>He adjourned till December 6 and 7 for the hearing.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has refused prayer by Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the All Progressives Congress, APC to dismiss a suit seeking the governor\u2019s removal from office.
