<\/p>\nSecondus said the party will immortalize the former Minister of Works, who passed on recently.<\/p>\n
He made the pledge when he led a delegation of the PDP National Working Committee, NWC, to the Sunrise Hills Estate, Abuja residence of the former Police Officer on a condolence visit.<\/p>\n
Secondus pointed out that Anenih mentored a legion of leaders in the country, adding that the late political leader was not just an elder statesman but \u201ca fountain of wisdom that we often run to, to get wisdom and advise.\u201d<\/p>\n
The party Chairman said that Anenih\u2019s name \u201ccannot be erased from the historical books of Nigeria. When historians write about Nigeria all through the republics, Tony Anenih\u2019s name will be there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Secondus added that \u201cthere are no words to describe our great father and leader who among others founded the PDP.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe worked tirelessly from 1998 to 2015; he worked hard to groom the PDP.\u201d<\/p>\n
He recalled how Anenih located and setup the PDP presidential campaign office popularly called Legacy House, where he \u201cdid all the work to return Olusegun Obasanjo, late Umaru Musa Yar\u2019 Adua and Goodluck Jonathan.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe applied all the strategies and advice and in the process, governors came back to the party. National Assembly members defected to the party.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis was as a result of the advice he gave and as children, we took them and today PDP has become the party of choice for all Nigerians.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had wished that God would spare him to enjoy the fruits of his labour, not by any other means but to see the party return to power. We will never forget all the works of Anenih to the PDP.\u201d<\/p>\n
He assured the family that the party will always be with them, even as he called for the involvement of the party in the burial preparations of the Esan High Chief.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has given so much to the party. We want to participate fully at this point in time. The governors will also do their part and we will give him a befitting burial,\u201d he added.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
