Bagudu raises workers&#8217; hope as committee finalises deliberations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Atiku-Bagudu.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has called on the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and its affiliate unions to shelve its scheduled strike in the interest of the citizenry.<\/p>\n<p>He made this call in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Dakingari, on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The Governor urged the workers to await the report of the tripartite committee on minimum wage and President Muhammadu Buhari\u2019s decision on the wage increase.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to assure the Nigerian workers at all levels of the government\u2019s readiness to promote their welfare.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government is willing and ready to do everything possible to uplift workers\u2019 welfare,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said that Bagudu left Birnin Kebbi for Abuja Monday morning to partake in the 12th meeting of the tripartite committee on the National Minimum Wage.<\/p>\n<p>The committee is expected to finalise deliberations and submit its report to President Buhari within few days.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has called on the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and its affiliate unions to shelve its scheduled strike in the interest of the citizenry.
