{"id":58177,"date":"2018-11-03T18:38:05","date_gmt":"2018-11-03T17:38:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=58177"},"modified":"2018-11-03T18:41:02","modified_gmt":"2018-11-03T17:41:02","slug":"police-confirm-murder-of-man-wife-three-children-in-benue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=58177","title":{"rendered":"Police confirm murder of man, wife, three children in Benue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Police-confirm-murder-of-man-wife-three-children-in-Benue.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the murder of one Mr. Nichola Adetsav, a staff of Makurdi Local Government Area, his wife and three kids.<\/p>\n<p>The lifeless bodies of the entire family members were discovered in their Vandeikya residence on Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>Residents of the area had claimed that the wife allegedly murdered the husband, three kids and committed suicide after a squabble with her spouse.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the development to DAILY POST on Saturday, the Benue State Police Command PRO, ASP Moses Yamu, said the bodies have been deposited at St. Theresa\u2019s Mortuary, Makurdi for autopsy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, we are aware. At the moment, we are investigating because one cannot tell exactly what happened at the moment. Although, people around are alleging that it was the woman that murdered the husband, the three children and possibly killed herself.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccording to them, before the incident, they saw her smashing husband\u2019s vehicle before they later moved into the room.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe police came and forced the door open and saw the five corpses inside.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe corpses have been deposited at the St. Theresa\u2019s Mortuary, Makurdi for autopsy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeanwhile, the commissioner has ordered full investigation to unravel the circumstances behind the murder of the family,\u201d Yamu told our reporter.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the murder of one Mr. Nichola Adetsav, a staff of Makurdi Local Government Area, his wife and three kids.
