Oriyomi Akinwale, told the court that the accused lured the 14-year-old girl into his room and defiled her.<\/p>\n<p>Akinwale stated that the victim had sustained injuries and has been admitted in the hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor urged the court to remand the accused in prison pending legal advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).<\/p>\n<p>However, the plea of the accused was not taken.<\/p>\n<p>The offence contravenes Section 31 (2) of the Child\u2019s Rights Law of \u200eEkiti State, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The Magistrate, Mrs Modupe Afeniforo, then ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the case until Nov. 2, for mention.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An Ado-Ekiti Magistrates\u2019 Court on Friday remanded a 73-year-old man identified as Dada Orimoloye for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl.
