{"id":55264,"date":"2018-10-25T10:22:38","date_gmt":"2018-10-25T09:22:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=55264"},"modified":"2018-10-25T10:23:12","modified_gmt":"2018-10-25T09:23:12","slug":"nbte-upgrades-oyo-college-of-agriculture-and-technology-to-polytechnic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=55264","title":{"rendered":"NBTE upgrades Oyo College of Agriculture and Technology to Polytechnic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/FG-releases-2018-polytechnic-ranking-SEE-TOP-10.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, has approved the upgrading of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora to a polytechnic.<\/p>\n<p>Provost of the institution, Professor Gbemiga Adewale, who announced the approval, said the institution would now run six additional programmes in addition to the existing ones.<\/p>\n<p>Adewale, in a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday through the institution\u2019s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mrs Opeyemi Olawore in Ibadan, the state capital, commended the NBTE for the approval.<\/p>\n<p>Adewale said, \u201cFollowing the approval, the institution can now run National Diploma programmes in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Statistics, Horticultural Technology as well as Office Technology and Management\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He revealed that the new status would further bring infrastructural and human capital development to the college through accesses to TETFUND for staff training and infrastructural facilities.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, has approved the upgrading of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora to a polytechnic.
