{"id":52386,"date":"2018-10-15T12:19:06","date_gmt":"2018-10-15T11:19:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=52386"},"modified":"2018-10-15T12:20:19","modified_gmt":"2018-10-15T11:20:19","slug":"champions-league-guardiola-names-3-clubs-in-position-to-lift-trophy-this-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=52386","title":{"rendered":"Champions League: Guardiola names 3 clubs in position to lift trophy this season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Guardiola-3Aug2018.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has said that his side cannot be considered as favourites to win Champions League this season.<\/p>\n<p>He said this was because they don\u2019t have a big enough \u201chistory and tradition\u201d in the competition.<\/p>\n<p>The Spaniard, however, named Real Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona as favourites to win the trophy.<\/p>\n<p>Guardiola has won the Champions League on two occasions with Barcelona but is not convinced his current team is \u2018ready\u2019 to lift the trophy come the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>The former Bayern Munich manager said that Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus impressive history in the Champions League gives them the edge.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018If we are favourites it means we are good, really good,\u201d Metro quoted him as saying.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the best the club has done is a semi-final and I don\u2019t know if we are ready, to be honest.
