{"id":52223,"date":"2018-10-14T17:10:26","date_gmt":"2018-10-14T16:10:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=52223"},"modified":"2018-10-14T17:11:25","modified_gmt":"2018-10-14T16:11:25","slug":"tenant-chops-off-landlords-lip-in-ondo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=52223","title":{"rendered":"Tenant chops off landlord\u2019s lip in Ondo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/1520676512_959_crimescene.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Yemi Daramola, a tenant in Fanibi area of Akure, Ondo State has reportedly bitten off the lip of her landlord, Paul Ajayi.<\/p>\n<p>According to some co-tenants, Yemi allegedly cuts off the lower lip of her landlord during a fisticuff over unpaid rent in Akure, the Ondo State capital.<\/p>\n<p>An eyewitness stated that the suspect (Yemi) and her husband, Ojo Daramola rented a room apartment and had been living in the house for more than three years, but recently had issues with the landlord over months of accumulated rent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe suddenly heard noise from the house and found out that the landlord\u2019s lip had been cut off while his cloth was socked with blood and a part of the lip was still in yemi\u2019s mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The landlord, Mr Ajayi told DAILY POST that he had earlier met with Yemi\u2019s husband the previous night to ask for the payment of the rent but he was promised to be seen the following day, which he objected to.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey owed me 18 months\u2019 rent and I went to meet the husband when he arrived from work at around 8 o\u2019clock at night.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe husband begged me to exercise patience that he would see me the following morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI warned them to stop postponing payment because I have been asking them to pay till the rent piled up to eighteen months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 18 months rent they owe me is #28,000 as well as electricity bill which is about #6 ,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the following morning, the husband came to me, begging, which I insisted that they have to pay.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLater, I saw out my friends that visited me and as I was coming back, the wife attacked me. She hit me and tried to target my scrotum.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs I was trying to bend to save my scrotum, she bit my lips and cut it off. That was when I reported the case at Fanibi Police Station,\u201d Ajayi stated.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ondo state command, Femi Joseph said he had not been fully briefed on the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the dental department of the state specialists hospital Akure has recommended a plastic surgery for Paul Ajayi.<\/p>\n<p>He has, therefore, been referred to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State for further treatment.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yemi Daramola, a tenant in Fanibi area of Akure, Ondo State has reportedly bitten off the lip of her landlord, Paul Ajayi.
