Igwe Innocent Obodoako, the traditional ruler of Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra on Saturday praised the choice of former governor of the state, Mr Peter Obi as running mate to PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.<\/p>\n

Obodoako told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview that Obi, who hails from Agulu, was a right choice for the party.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we heard of his selection, we were so happy. I know what he can do.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy the time he ends his tenure as vice president, Nigerians will see his goodness,\u201d the monarch said.<\/p>\n

Obodoako, who said that the people of Agulu and by extension, Anambra were<\/p>\n

excited, also said the PDP would get massive votes because of Atiku\u2019s position on the issue of restructuring.<\/p>\n

According to him, restructuring will give all Nigerians a sense of belonging and ensure that our children are massively employed.<\/p>\n

The monarch appealed to those agitating against Obi\u2019s selection, especially some stakeholders in the South East to have a rethink and support the Atiku\/Obi joint PDP ticket in the interest of the zone.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
