{"id":50562,"date":"2018-10-09T12:47:38","date_gmt":"2018-10-09T11:47:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=50562"},"modified":"2018-10-09T12:47:58","modified_gmt":"2018-10-09T11:47:58","slug":"one-dead-as-suspected-cult-groups-clash-in-delta-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=50562","title":{"rendered":"One dead as suspected cult groups clash in Delta community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/1518544365_clash.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">A suspected cultist has been reported dead in a rival cult clash in Ovwian Community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST gathered that latest clash broke out between the Aye, Dominion and Aro-Bagger confraternities.<\/p>\n<p>Details of what led to the bloody clash remain unknown at the time of filing this report.<\/p>\n<p>Our correspondent learnt that the deceased was killed in a fierce battle at about 3pm on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The decease whose remains had been deposited in a mortuary had tattoos all over his body.<\/p>\n<p>The cult groups shot sporadically in the area as they dispossessed residents of their personal effects as they also destroyed valuables worth several millions of naira.<\/p>\n<p>The cultists had wanted to spread their fight to Aladja Community but they were resisted by the Vigilante.<\/p>\n<p>The Assistant Secretary of Aladja Community, Comrade Ighotegwolor Bezi, said the Aladja Community Vigilante warned that the Community will not condone such misdemeanor in their land.<\/p>\n<p>According to Bezi, \u201cAny cultist caught terrorizing our Community whether the person is an indigene or not, he will be dealt with in line with the laws.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a chat with Arewa. Ngon Tuesday morning, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Mustafa, confirmed the report.<\/p>\n<p>CP Mustafa said, \u201cIt is confirmed. It was a cult clash, but we are still looking for the other suspects.
