{"id":48561,"date":"2018-10-03T09:09:19","date_gmt":"2018-10-03T08:09:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=48561"},"modified":"2018-10-03T09:09:44","modified_gmt":"2018-10-03T08:09:44","slug":"lagos-apc-primaries-confusion-as-state-chairman-disagrees-with-nwc-says-votes-valid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=48561","title":{"rendered":"Lagos APC Primaries: Confusion as State Chairman disagrees with NWC, says votes valid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/APC.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Tunde Balogun, says the party\u2019s governorship primary held earlier on Tuesday (today) remains valid and that the result will soon be announced.<\/p>\n<p>This is contrary to the statement by the party\u2019s National Working Committee panel, led by Mr. Clement Ebri, declaring the primary null and void.<\/p>\n<p>Ebri at a press conference at Protea Hotel, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, said the primary could not have held because the guidelines for the conduct of the election were still being ironed out.<\/p>\n<p>But Balogun insisted that the primary had held and that the results would soon be announced.<\/p>\n<p>Balogun said, \u201cOf course, the primary election took place in all the 245 wards in Lagos State and it was peaceful; not a single case of violence was recorded.
