Nsima Ekere, the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has reacted to his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom state.<\/p>\n

Ekere, who enjoys the backing of former Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, beat Bassey Dan-Abia Snr. Edet Efretui and Akpan Udoedehe to the ticket.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur great Party, the APC, has spoken. Akwaibomites have spoken.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have spoken with one strong voice. They\u2019ve told me to carry the flag of our party and represent them in the next gubernatorial election.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a historic mandate. It is an honour and a duty I don\u2019t take lightly.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy special thanks to the leadership and every member of our Party for the confidence reposed in me.<\/p>\n
