{"id":47566,"date":"2018-09-29T22:08:27","date_gmt":"2018-09-29T21:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=47566"},"modified":"2018-09-29T22:08:51","modified_gmt":"2018-09-29T21:08:51","slug":"ajimobis-camp-reacts-to-alao-akalas-reason-for-pulling-out-guber-primaries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=47566","title":{"rendered":"Ajimobi&#8217;s camp reacts to Alao-Akala&#8217;s reason for pulling out guber primaries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/ajimobi.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Bolaji Tunji, the Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Communications and Strategy, has reacted to claims by ex-governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, alleging that Ajimobi had perfected plans to impose one Mr. Olasunkanmi Tegbe as the All Progressives the former, APC, standard bearer in the 2019 governorship election in Oyo State.<\/p>\n<p>Alao-Akala had also accused Ajimobi of offering him a Ministerial slot to step down for Mr. Tegbe.<\/p>\n<p>However, Tunji said it was surprising that such allegations could come from the highly-respected former governor.<\/p>\n<p>Tunji said that Alao-Akala was part of the several meetings the governor had with the aspirants, where it was agreed that the aspirants should meet and present three of them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey, including Alao-Akala, agreed and signed that whoever emerged as the party\u2019s candidate would be supported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe allegations against the governor are very untrue,\u201d he told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, he described the allegations that Ajimobi had offered Alao-Akala a ministerial slot to pitch him against Shittu as untrue.<\/p>\n<p>Tunji stated that Shittu had already taken permission from the president to contest the governorship seat in the state.<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST reports that Alao-Akala announced his withdrawal from the primaries, alleging lack of level playing field for all aspirants.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bolaji Tunji, the Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Communications and Strategy, has reacted to claims by ex-governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, alleging that Ajimobi had perfected plans to impose one Mr. Olasunkanmi Tegbe as the All Progressives the former, APC, standard bearer in the 2019 governorship election in Oyo State.
