Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.<\/p>\n<p>He said Kano State Police Command, under CP Mamman Dauda, has rejigged its anti-crime strategies and continued with stakeholders engagements to ensure a peaceful election process.<\/p>\n<p>Kiyawa explained that eight suspects were arrested for various offences ranging from unlawful possession of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) to the violation of electoral acts.<\/p>\n<p>He said the suspects were charged to various courts of law for prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>The CP, however, appreciates the people of Kano State for their continuous support, encouragement, and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>He urged residents to report incidents to the nearest police station and not take laws into their hands.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the raids of criminal hideouts and black spots would continue throughout the state to ensure a peaceful atmosphere before, during, and after the election.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Police in Kano State have assured maximum security and a level playing ground for all political parties to ensure peaceful electioneering processes.
