The presidential aspirants of the KOWA Party, KP, have sat for a written examination set by the party to assess their intellectual grasp of the challenges rocking the nation ahead of the 2019 elections.<\/p>\n

One of the aspirants, Remi Sonaiya, who was the party\u2019s standard-bearer disclosed this on Friday via a post on her Facebook page.<\/p>\n

She wrote: \u201c#KOWAPARTY presidential aspirants going through written examination as part of the process of winning the party\u2019s candidacy!!!<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was actually a good exercise \u2013 and I passed! KOWA Party\u2026 making a difference,\u201d she posted with the picture of three aspirants writing the test.<\/p>\n

Early this year, the national secretary of the party, Mark Adebayo, had hinted that the party\u2019s presidential and gubernatorial aspirants would be subjected to a written test so as to produce the best candidates for important political positions in 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will be a written examination for presidential candidates of KOWA Party and governorship candidates. At least for those two categories. We need a candidate who can sell the party profitably to Nigeria,\u201d Mr Adebayo said.<\/p>\n

In 2015, Mrs Sonaiya, a professor, won 13,076 votes, 0.05% of the total votes cast, while Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives\u2019 Congress, APC, polled 15,424,921 (53.96%) votes.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
