{"id":473660,"date":"2022-11-30T10:14:51","date_gmt":"2022-11-30T09:14:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=473660"},"modified":"2022-11-30T10:14:58","modified_gmt":"2022-11-30T09:14:58","slug":"bola-tinubu-denies-meeting-joe-biden-after-photo-went-viral","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=473660","title":{"rendered":"Bola Tinubu denies meeting Joe Biden after photo went viral"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has denied he met with President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>The APC presidential candidate\u2019s photo with Biden in the United States quickly went viral online.<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu, however, has claimed that the viral photo of him with Biden is fake.<\/p>\n<div class=\"811299de41b447e070ae45e4459ae694\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float:none; margin:0px;\">\n<div class=\"\">If you enjoy this story, please do not forget to check out our other news stories:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>He claimed that supporters of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), were behind the image\u2019s dissemination.<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu, through APC PCC Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, claimed that Obi\u2019s supporters had doctored the image that went viral.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Onanuga said, \u201cA viral photograph showing Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and U.S. President, Joe Biden, in talks at the White House is the latest in the series of misinformation being dished out by the political opposition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot just fathom the purpose of the mischief and the falsehood which emanated from the rabid followers of Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe apparently photoshopped image surfaced Tuesday night, on the heels of news that Asiwaju will embark on a foreign trip this weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Onanuga, Tinubu is in Abuja and not the United States.<\/p>\n<p>However, he confirmed that the APC presidential candidate would be visiting the United States this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that Tinubu was scheduled to go to Bayelsa on Thursday for a rally.<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu\u2019s campaign announced that his first stop would be at London\u2019s Chatham House, where he would present his \u201cAction Plan for Nigeria.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"811299de41b447e070ae45e4459ae694\" data-index=\"3\" style=\"float:none; margin:0px;\">\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has denied he met with President Joe Biden.
