The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra state has disowned the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige for not outrightly endorsing the party\u2019s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n
While appearing on Channels Television earlier in the month, Ngige said he would make a decision on who to vote for on his ballot paper.<\/p>\n
He refused to choose between Tinubu and Labour Party\u2019s candidate, Peter Obi, claiming they were both his friends.<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth of them are my friends. My choice will be in the ballot box. Whether conscience or no conscience, on that day in February, I\u2019ll have one vote,\u201d Ngige had said.<\/p>\n
But in a statement on Sunday, the chairman of APC in Anambra, Basil Ejidike, said Ngige\u2019s views do not represent the party in the state.<\/p>\n
\u201cNgige never said he represented the party during the interview and whatever he said was personal and does not reflect the position of the party in Anambra state,\u201d Ejidike said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
