A 49-year-old father, Amoda Bola, has reportedly impregnated his 14-year-old daughter in Ode, Remo North Local Government Area of Ogun State<\/p>\n
The father has been arrested by the police in Ogun.<\/p>\n
The suspect, a resident of Idi Oro street, Ode Remo, was arrested following a complaint received from the victim.<\/p>\n
The daughter had told the police that \u201cher father, with whom she had been living for some years now, had been having carnal knowledge of her,\u201d Ogun police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi, said on Sunday.<\/p>\n
According to Oyeyemi, the girl told the police that \u201cher father has also been inviting other men to the house to have sex with her after which the men will pay him money.\u201d<\/p>\n
Following the report, the DPO of Ode Remo division, CSP Olayemi Fasogbon, was said to have detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was arrested.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn interrogation, the suspect, who first denied the allegations, later confessed when the victim confronted him.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis confession led to the arrest of five others who have slept with her at different times on the invitation of the father,\u201d Oyeyemi informed.<\/p>\n
He identified the other suspects as Ahmed Ogunkoya (30 years), Muyiwa Adeoye (48 years), David Sunday Solaja (69 years), Emmanuel Olusanya (50 years) and Joshua Olaniran (50 years).<\/p>\n
All the suspects, according to the police spokesman, had confessed sleeping with the teenage girl and paying the father.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe victim, whose mother had separated from the father years back, was practically turned into a prostitute by her father.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe has been taken to the state hospital in Isara, where it was confirmed that she is pregnant.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe victim has insisted that it was her father who is responsible for the pregnancy, being the only person who slept with her within the period she conceived,\u201d it was gathered.<\/p>\n
The case will be transferred to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the state CIID as directed by the Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Lanre Bankole.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
