The Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, Edward Egbuka, while briefing journalists on Tuesday afternoon described the purported bomb explosion as a hoax.<\/p>\n
He explained that the Command quickly deployed the bomb disposal unit to the area to ascertain the truth of the matter after it was informed of the development.<\/p>\n
He told journalists that the bomb disposal unit of the Command confirmed that it was a hoax.<\/p>\n
The Police Commissioner advised Journalists to always confirm crime-related reports at their disposal with the police before publication to avoid creating panic in the minds of the people.<\/p>\n
