The Zamfara State Police Command said its tactical operatives and military have rescued seven kidnapped victims from Chibade village in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.<\/p>\n
Addressing newsmen at the command headquarters in Gusau, the state capital, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ayuba Ellkanah, said the kidnapped victims were rescued during search and rescue operations.<\/p>\n
According to him, the victims were rescued along Dansadau forest in Maru Local Government Area of the state, assuring that many victims that are currently in captivity at various bandits\u2019 enclaves in the state would be rescued.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cOn February 25, 2022, the tactical operatives of the command in collaboration with the military deployed along Dansadau axis in Maru Local Government Area of the state have successfully rescued seven kidnapped victims who are natives of Chibade village in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe victims during debriefing informed the police that, on February 21, 2022, bandits in large numbers, stormed their village, Chibade and abducted seven of them to Dansadau forest of Zamfara State.<\/p>\n
\u201cJoint Police and military operatives, while on a coordinated bush clearance around Dansadau axis, successfully rescued the affected victims and brought them to Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau where they received medical check.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll the victims will be handed over to the Commissioner of Police Niger State Police Command for further appropriate action.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Command, Mr. Ayuba N.
