{"id":421111,"date":"2021-12-11T17:28:26","date_gmt":"2021-12-11T16:28:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=421111"},"modified":"2021-12-11T17:29:08","modified_gmt":"2021-12-11T16:29:08","slug":"adamawa-police-arrest-supplier-of-firearms-recover-six-locally-fabricated-guns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=421111","title":{"rendered":"Adamawa Police Arrest Supplier Of Firearms, Recover Six Locally Fabricated Guns"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>A suspected illegal dealer in firearms was on Friday arrested in Adamawa State by the police.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year old suspect known as Shenomano Remos, was apprehended while allegedly moving locally fabricated guns to Sheno-Belta Village in Gombi Local Government Area of the state.<br \/>\n<span class=\"container container-pod container-pod-short\"><span class=\"adunit-parent hide block-module block-module-ad block-module-ad-300x250\"><span class=\"block-module-image-wrapper\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/Adamawa-Police-Arrest-Supplier-Of-Firearms-Recover-Six-Locally-Fabricated.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>SaharaReporters learnt that Remos had purchased the guns from Uba in Uba-Askira Local Government Area of Borno State for sale in a community in Adamawa State.<\/p>\n<p>The police confirmed that six locally fabricated guns were recovered from him.<br \/>\n<span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/1639237969_967_Adamawa-Police-Arrest-Supplier-Of-Firearms-Recover-Six-Locally-Fabricated.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, said, &#8220;Further to the command&#8217;s reinvigorated special action plan on the ongoing fight against banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery and other violent crimes across the state, the command&#8217;s operatives attached to Gombi Division in a joint operation with hunters on 10\/12\/2021 while on stop and search operation along Ngada-Gombi Road intercepted and apprehended one Shenomano Remos, 23 years old, a resident of Sheno-Belta Village, Gombi Local Government Area.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The suspect, being a notorious gun dealer, bought and smuggled in the weapons from Askira-Uba Local Government Area of Borno State and was on his way to distribute same to his collaborators.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ahmed Barde, noted that stop and search operation is a good initiative and will critically evaluate the pattern and trend of crimes in the state. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He assured of massive and well-planned deployment of both human and other operational assets of the command to reinforce and consolidate on keeping Adamawa safe especially during the festive period.&#8221;\n <\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong><em>(SaharaReporters)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A suspected illegal dealer in firearms was on Friday arrested in Adamawa State by the police.
