{"id":421098,"date":"2021-12-11T17:24:50","date_gmt":"2021-12-11T16:24:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=421098"},"modified":"2021-12-11T17:25:26","modified_gmt":"2021-12-11T16:25:26","slug":"abducted-imo-traditional-ruler-rescued-after-two-nights-in-kidnappers-den","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=421098","title":{"rendered":"Abducted Imo Traditional Ruler Rescued After Two Nights In Kidnappers\u2019 Den"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The abducted traditional ruler of Mbutu Kingdom in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Damian Nwaigwe, has been rescued.<\/p>\n<p>Some gunmen had on Thursday abducted the monarch at his palace around 2:30am.<br \/>\n<span class=\"container container-pod container-pod-short\"><span class=\"adunit-parent hide block-module block-module-ad block-module-ad-300x250\"><span class=\"block-module-image-wrapper\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-png view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/How-Officer-Attached-To-Inspector-General-of-Police-Intelligence-Response-Team.png\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The incident caused panic in the community as villagers kept vigil from the time of the incident till dawn.<\/p>\n<p>Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Micheal Abattam, on Saturday said the monarch had been rescued \u2018unhurt\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cThe abducted royal father, HRH Eze Damin Nwaigwe of the Mbutu Kingdom, who was kidnapped on 09\/12\/2021 at about 03:00 hours in his residence, has been rescued unhurt and reunited with his family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This comes a few hours after gunmen murdered the traditional ruler of Atta Kingdom, Edwin Azike, in Njaba Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n<p>His corpse was found at the market square in the community on Friday morning after he was abducted on Thursday.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong><em>(SaharaReporters)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The abducted traditional ruler of Mbutu Kingdom in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Damian Nwaigwe, has been rescued.
