{"id":416515,"date":"2021-11-20T21:06:28","date_gmt":"2021-11-20T20:06:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=416515"},"modified":"2021-11-20T21:19:44","modified_gmt":"2021-11-20T20:19:44","slug":"epl-owen-names-only-player-that-played-absolutely-fabulous-for-man-utd-against-watford","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=416515","title":{"rendered":"EPL: Owen names only player that played absolutely fabulous for Man Utd against Watford"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Former Manchester United star, Owen Hargreaves, has named midfielder Donny van de Beek, as the only player that played \u2018absolutely fabulous\u2019 for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer\u2019s side against Watford.<\/p>\n<p>Watford thrashed Man United 4-1 at Vicarage Road, thanks to four goals from Joshua King, Ismaila Sarr, Joao Pedro and Emmanuel Bonaventure.<\/p>\n<p>Van de Beek, who replaced Scott McTominay, did score for Man United against Watford as captain Harry Maguire was sent off during the encounter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey were thoroughly outclassed by a Watford side that are down in the relegation area,\u201d Owen said on Premier League Productions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought the Liverpool and Manchester City games were very bad in terms of performance, but they played against the two best teams in the country. That today was almost the worst because they were outplayed by a team with the situation that they are in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOle said before the game there would be a reaction, but there wasn\u2019t. They were actually worse than those two games so in that sense that was about as bad as it\u2019s got I think.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were a lot of questions leading up to it, you would have thought a two-week break would have maybe given them a little break coming into the Watford game. They have got Villarreal on Tuesday and they have got Chelsea on the weekend so it\u2019s not getting any easier.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnited have conceded more goals than Chelsea, City and Liverpool combined. Four months ago we said with the squad they had they were going to be in the title race and they were on paper.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are so far out of the title race it\u2019s untrue. It\u2019s not working and that today was a bit of a shock even considering what we\u2019ve seen against City and Liverpool. 4-1 against Watford, completely unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey don\u2019t look like they believed, the energy wasn\u2019t there, the effort wasn\u2019t there,\u201d Owen added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe only player that really showed that was Donny van de Beek when he came off the bench.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe played great.
