{"id":415228,"date":"2021-11-15T22:05:22","date_gmt":"2021-11-15T21:05:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=415228"},"modified":"2021-11-15T22:24:40","modified_gmt":"2021-11-15T21:24:40","slug":"dead-body-with-hands-tied-found-floating-on-ilorin-river","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=415228","title":{"rendered":"Dead body with hands tied found floating on Ilorin river"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">A dead human body was found in Asa River, along Emir\u2019s Road in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Spokesman of the state Fire Brigade, Hakeem Hassan Adekunle, in a statement in Ilorin, said the body was discovered with the hands tied on his back and head covered by some tattered wrapper.<\/p>\n<p>He said the body was evacuated by operatives of the brigade at about 1440 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Hakeem disclosed that the attention was drawn to the brigade by one Olamilekan after residents in the neighbourhood found the dead human body floating on the river.<\/p>\n<p>No concrete evidence has been found on the cause of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The statement added that the unidentified body was handed over to Superintendent Ajape, SP, of the state police command, who led a team of officers investigating the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Director of the state fire brigade, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, expressed sadness on the development and advised members of the public to be vigilant to prevent future occurrence.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A dead human body was found in Asa River, along Emir\u2019s Road in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital on Monday.
