{"id":415008,"date":"2021-11-14T20:50:28","date_gmt":"2021-11-14T19:50:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=415008"},"modified":"2021-11-14T21:11:45","modified_gmt":"2021-11-14T20:11:45","slug":"world-cup-qualifiers-big-bully-agbonlahor-slams-roy-kean-for-calling-maguire-disgrace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=415008","title":{"rendered":"World Cup qualifiers: \u2018Big bully\u2019 &#8211; Agbonlahor slams Roy Kean for calling Maguire \u2018disgrace\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Former Aston Villa striker, Gabby Agbonlahor, has branded Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, as a \u2018big bully\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Agbonlahor said this while launching a staunch defence of Harry Maguire after Keane labelled the England centre-back as a \u2018disgrace\u2019, following The Three Lions\u2019 World Cup qualifying 5-0 win over Albania on Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, everyone sort of jumps on the bandwagon whenever Keane says something.<\/p>\n<p>Keane had branded Maguire as a \u2018disgrace and an embarrassment\u2019 after the Manchester United captain appeared to send a message to his critics after scoring the opening goal of England\u2019s World Cup qualifying win over Albania.<\/p>\n<p>Maguire slid on his knees with his fingers to his ears after heading in the England opener.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the development, Agbonlahor told talkSPORT, \u201cI have seen the quotes and the video of it from Roy Keane and I think Roy Keane is being a big bully, there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think he\u2019s bullying him because Harry Maguire has been under a lot of pressure after some not very good performances for Manchester United.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was the next game available to prove that he\u2019s a good centre-half.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, it\u2019s Albania, but, still, we had a job to do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe scores, the excitement of scoring \u2013 you\u2019re going to celebrate.<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cI thought his defending was very good and he scored a goal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery time he does something now, it feels like everyone is against him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s English, he\u2019s the captain of Manchester United. Yes, there\u2019s pressure with that, but he\u2019s probably our best centre-half.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s get behind him and not always trying to criticise him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor me, it\u2019s bullying from Roy Keane.
