{"id":401812,"date":"2021-10-07T19:14:42","date_gmt":"2021-10-07T18:14:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=401812"},"modified":"2021-10-07T19:18:35","modified_gmt":"2021-10-07T18:18:35","slug":"golden-down-apply-international-best-practices-in-rules-of-engagement-uzodinma-tells-security-agencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=401812","title":{"rendered":"Golden Down: Apply international best practices in rules of engagement &#8211; Uzodinma tells security agencies"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has urged security agencies to apply international best practices in their rules of engagement across the Southeast.<\/p>\n<p>Uzodinma made the call while flagging off the joint security operation codenamed \u201cExercise Golden Dawn\u201d and was contained in a statement issued by the state government.<\/p>\n<p>Exercise Golden Dawn was introduced to tackle the increasing insecurity across the Southeast.<\/p>\n<p>However, the governor urged residents of the Southeast to join security agents in the fight against insecurity in the region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-911304\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/storage\/2021\/10\/Golden-Down-Apply-international-best-practices-in-rules-of-engagement.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"950\" height=\"701\"><\/p>\n<p>The statement reads: \u201cHis Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma flagged off the joint operation of our security agencies code-named \u201cExercise Golden Dawn\u201d to combat the rising insecurity across the South Eastern region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a well known fact that security of lives and properties are one of the obligations of the Government while it is an established understanding that security is everyone\u2019s business. It is on the above premise that it becomes pertinent for everyone to join hands with the Government for a secured society where peace reigns.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis Exercise Golden Dawn which has the Imo State command at Orlu, would be operated across the Southeastern states to forestall breakdown of law and order while ensuring the safety of all, especially with the festive seasons approaching.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is no longer news that in recent times, the people of the South-East have been experiencing insurgency arising from numerous factors.
