{"id":397304,"date":"2021-09-25T23:13:54","date_gmt":"2021-09-25T22:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=397304"},"modified":"2021-09-25T23:24:05","modified_gmt":"2021-09-25T22:24:05","slug":"20-year-old-man-in-police-net-for-alleged-murder-in-ilorin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=397304","title":{"rendered":"20-year-old man in police net for alleged murder in Ilorin"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Kwara State Police Command, on Saturday, confirmed the arrest of a 20-year-old man, Azeez Akinloye, who allegedly killed one Akeem Lekan with cutlass in Ilorin.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased and the suspect, reportedly used cutlass on each other for reasons unknown, which claimed the life of Akeem.<\/p>\n<p>Spokesman of the police command, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi, in a statement in Ilorin on Saturday, confirmed the development.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect and the deceased are both residents of Odore area, in Ilorin, the state capital.<\/p>\n<p>According to Okasanmi, policemen swung into action upon the report of a case of culpable homicide at Gaa Shagari area, off Egbejila area of Ilorin and arrested Azeez Akinloye who allegedly killed Akeem with cutlass.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAkeem was met lying in the pool of his blood,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201d The said Azeez Akinloye, was arrested while the lifeless body of the victim was taken to the Surulere General Hospital, Ilorin, where he was confirmed dead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis corpse was deposited at the hospital for autopsy,\u201d the spokesman stated.<\/p>\n<p>He said the state Commissioner of Police, Tuesday Assayomo, has directed investigation into the matter.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kwara State Police Command, on Saturday, confirmed the arrest of a 20-year-old man, Azeez Akinloye, who allegedly killed one Akeem Lekan with cutlass in Ilorin.
