{"id":386931,"date":"2021-08-23T20:07:12","date_gmt":"2021-08-23T19:07:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=386931"},"modified":"2021-08-23T20:18:53","modified_gmt":"2021-08-23T19:18:53","slug":"northern-govs-want-buhari-govt-to-invade-forests-kill-all-bandits-el-rufai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=386931","title":{"rendered":"Northern govs want Buhari govt to invade forests, kill all bandits &#8211; El-Rufai"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has urged the Federal Government to charge security agencies to go into the forest and wipe out all bandits terrorising Northerners.<\/p>\n<p>El-Rufai made the remark while advising the Federal government to stop the payment of ransom and kill all the bandits in the North.<\/p>\n<p>He spoke during a dialogue: \u201cFinancing Safe Schools: Creating Safe Learning Communities\u201d in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The governor said his colleagues have agreed that bandits should be wiped out.<\/p>\n<p>According to El-Rufai: \u201cOur position as governors and we are unanimous in this because we, the Northern state governors, met with the president on this subject, our unanimous position is to wipe out the bandits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must go into these forests; nobody living in that forest is innocent and just kill them all. It is the only way to end this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>States like Kaduna, Zamfara, Niger, Kebbi and Sokoto States have witnessed cases of banditry.<\/p>\n<p>Students, religious leaders have been targeted by these bandits in the Northern part of the country.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has urged the Federal Government to charge security agencies to go into the forest and wipe out all bandits terrorising Northerners.
