{"id":386523,"date":"2021-08-22T10:33:21","date_gmt":"2021-08-22T09:33:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=386523"},"modified":"2021-08-22T10:40:07","modified_gmt":"2021-08-22T09:40:07","slug":"teenager-stabs-girl-to-death-in-kano-over-boyfriend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=386523","title":{"rendered":"Teenager stabs girl to death in Kano over boyfriend"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">A 28-,year-old woman, Bahijja Abubakar has been stabbed to death at Shekar Maidaki Quarters, Kumbotso Local Government, Kano State.<br \/>\nThe victim was stabbed at the back of her neck and left in a pool of blood by a 17-year-old girl, Aishatu Kabiru of the same address.<br \/>\nA resident told DAILY POST that the two women were at loggerhead over alleged sharing of one boyfriend.<br \/>\nPolice Spokesman of the Kano command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed the incident to DAILY POST.<br \/>\nAccording to him, \u201cthe police On Tuesday at about 2300hrs received a report that a 28 year old Bahijja Abubakar of Shekar Maidaki Quarters, Kumbotso LGA of Kano State was stabbed at the back of her neck by another girl and fled to<br \/>\nunknown destination.\u201d<br \/>\nHe explained that \u201cafter receiving the report, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama\u2019ila Shu\u2019aibu Dikko ordered Kumbotso police Division to proceed to the scene.\u201d<br \/>\nHe said the team immediately rushed the victim to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano where she was admitted.<br \/>\nKiyawa said the victim died on Friday while receiving treatment.<br \/>\nHe said police on Saturday also succeeded in arresting the suspect, one Aisha Kabiru in a hideout at Zawaciki Quarters.<br \/>\nAccording to the suspect, she had misunderstanding with the deceased, and as a result, fighting erupted between them.<br \/>\nShe later took a sharp knife and stabbed Bahijja at the back of her neck which resulted to her death.<br \/>\nThe case has been transferred to the criminal investigation Department of the Command, Homicide Section, for discreet investigation.<br \/>\nKiyaya said the suspect will be charged to court after investigation.<\/div>\n<p><strong><em>(DailyPost)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 28-,year-old woman, Bahijja Abubakar has been stabbed to death at Shekar Maidaki Quarters, Kumbotso Local Government, Kano State.
