{"id":386090,"date":"2021-08-20T20:20:55","date_gmt":"2021-08-20T19:20:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=386090"},"modified":"2021-08-20T20:21:33","modified_gmt":"2021-08-20T19:21:33","slug":"rival-bandit-gangs-clash-in-kaduna-village-slaughter-each-other","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=386090","title":{"rendered":"Rival bandit gangs clash in Kaduna village, slaughter each other"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Two rival kidnapping groups have clashed in Kaduna State resulting in the death of nine bandits in a fight that broke out.<\/p>\n<p>A source told DAILY POST that a notorious bandit known as \u2018Godon Mota\u2019 stormed Garke village last Wednesday with his gang and engaged a rival bandit group in a fight in Giwa local government area of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the development on Friday, Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan said, Nemesis caught up with the two groups of armed bandits who in a fratricidal gun duel killed nine of their fellows.<\/p>\n<p>He said credible human intelligence informed the state government of the development, which was further corroborated by security agencies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dIntelligence sources had reported that a notorious bandit known as \u2018Godon Mota\u2019 stormed Garke village last Wednesday with his gang and clashed with a rival bandit group, leading to the killing of nine members.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe cause of the fratricidal face-off is yet unclear but was said to revolve around a disagreement over sharing of accumulated ransoms, during which one of the groups felt cheated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cActing Governor Dr Hadiza Balarabe noted the report with thanks and urged security agencies to sustain pressure towards the apprehending of criminal elements in the general area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInvestigations and security patrols are ongoing.\u201d The statement further said<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong><em>(DailyPost)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two rival kidnapping groups have clashed in Kaduna State resulting in the death of nine bandits in a fight that broke out.
